Many women (and men) tell lies about food and drinks. Examples, “I don’t know why I put on weight yet I eat so little…” and this is after a plateful of chips or a bag of chevda. “I only had one glass of wine…” and she is clearly staggering. “I never eat fast foods…” yet that’s what she has for lunch most days. Chocolate, alcohol and fast foods are the most lied about food stuffs by women and alcohol and meat by men. Lying about your food habits to friends and family may seem harmless in the short term, but shifting excess weight or quitting drinking will be harder in the long run if you stay in denial. Try keeping a food and drinks diary to help you keep on track what you eat and drink and own up when you overdo it and make amends.
