KTN news anchor Betty Kyalo has confirmed that she recently had surgery.

On an Instagram post dated 28th of June, the anchor revealed that she had had her tonsils removed at the Nairobi Hospital.

Betty, who recently opened her own salon, Flair by Betty,  said she was having difficulty eating and swallowing but is looking forward to a speedy recovery.

She is, however, enjoying the ice cream diet ordered by the doctors. The IG post reads,

”Happy to be home after a successful surgery to remove my tonsils. As much as the recovery process is tough I’m looking forward to better days.  Now to the hardest part which is eating and talking… but that special ice cream diet so far is dope. Thanks to God for a successful procedure. Big thanks to my fantastic doctor, all my friends and family who were right by my side.”

The KTN news anchor said that the procedure was long overdue as she had been suffering from tonsils inflammation nearly every month.

”Finally did it after being scared to do so after many years yet I kept suffering from tonsillitis inflammation almost every month.”  she wrote.
