Best Pesticide Free Foods For Your Kids

 

Research has linked pesticides to an increased risk of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children.

A Canadian and US study published in UK’s Pediatrics Journal, looked at more than 1,100 children aged eight to 15 years and found those with higher levels of pesticides in urine were more likely to have ADHD.

The study says most pesticides are neuro-toxins and these are especially problematic for pregnant and nursing mothers, as well as to fetuses and infants.

What next?

For the sake of your children’s health feed them on organically grown foods, especially fruits and vegetables which tend to be the most pesticide-laden.

Organic food is more expensive but you can grow your own if you have a small patch in your backyard.

Peppers, kale (sukuma), lettuce, carrots, tomatoes and various herbs like dhania grow easily and you should try them out.

Whenever possible buy peaches, apples, oranges, mangoes and pears that are organically grown if you intend to feed them on your children.
