Many people are too concerned about keeping their body in shape and forget their brain needs exercise, too. To keep your brain in tiptop condition, you need to give it a daily workout. You can keep your mental function sharp with a few simple neuro-boosters. Try testing exercises such as crosswords or Sudoku puzzles (you could buy a book or get them from newspapers), or video games that require an alert mind and focus. You could also learn a new language or go back to school. You could also join your kids as they try to figure out difficult jigsaw puzzles or building blocks. In addition, eat some brain-friendly food such as oily fish including tuna and salmon. Meditation and reading are also good exercises for the brain.
