Former chief executive officer of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) Maurice Okoth, 42, and his wife, Shamillah Kiptoo, 32, grace our cover this month.
Maurice Okoth is a trained lawyer and is currently in private practice. He recently joined a media company, TVC, as the CEO of the newly launched Cosmopolitan TV. His wife, Shamillah Kiptoo, 1996 Miss World Kenya titleholder, is a marketer-cum-entrepreneur.
The couple has been married for three years. They describe their marriage as happy and fulfilling as they have learnt to draw strength from each other and enjoy each other’s company. The couple has an adopted son who they say has brought immense joy in their lives.
Maurice and Shamillah say communication has helped them to jell well. They love spending time together watching movies, enjoying good food, playing basketball and travelling.
