Lokichogio Mixed Secondary School in Turkana county was the scene of a mass shooting on Saturday, October 14 at around 3.30 am and 4 am when a suspended Sudanese student opened fire to collegues.

According to reports, the suspended student and his accomplices gained access to the school and killed five students and a night security guard.

Abraham had been suspended because of indiscipline issues and threatening teachers and students at the school. It was also reported that Abraham had been heard telling his fellow students that he was either going to burn down the school or return to avenge his suspension.

Five students were killed in the shooting. Investigations have been opened as police work to apprehend the attackers.
