Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata set to marry the love of his life

Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata is set to tie the knot on September 15.

Speaking to the Daily Nation, the 39-year-old senator denied perceptions that he is a bachelor,

Kangata emphasised that he has been married to Ms Mary Wambui for eight years and blessed with three children.

The ceremony, he says, is simply a solemnisation of their union and that it was, in fact, his father’s idea.

“My father has been sick for a while and he requested me to do the wedding and since we all must obey our parents, I immediately started preparations,” he told the Nation.

He added,“All plans for the wedding are complete and we shall exchange our vows at Gathinja Catholic Church while the reception will be held at Thika Greens.” 

Many dignitaries are expected to be in attendance, including the President, the Deputy President and senators from across the country.

Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura will be his best man while Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro will be the groomsman.
