Help me get a job – Graduate Hawker desperate plea to employers during the Labour Day celebrations

A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce student who majored in accounting, Joshua Munyao caught the attention of Kenyans as he pleaded for a job using a placard at the labour day celebrations held at Uhuru Park on Wednesday.

Munyao who graduated in 2017 from Kenyatta University resorted to work as a hawker in Githurai and Kahawa Sukari  selling sweets to survive.

“Please give me a job, my name is Joshua Munyao and I have a Bachelors Degree in Commerce- I majored in accounting. My phone number is 0711269219,” read the placard.

When contacted by Parents Magazine, he revealed he has not yet been successful in his search but remains hopeful that he will get a job so that he can take care of his parents.

“I have not yet gotten any offers (as at May 2) but I know I will be successful. If anybody has any opportunity I will be privileged to take it up,” said the last born in a family of seven.
