Good for heart health

Peanuts consist of more healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats than they do saturated fats. This makes peanuts better for the heart than fat sources with a higher proportion of saturated fats because of its ratio. A study done in 2014 found that eating 46g of peanuts or peanut butter each day may improve heart health for those with diabetes.

Maintaining a good healthy weight

Having healthful fats, protein, and fiber, peanuts make a satiating snack.Eating peanuts in moderation, helps in maintaining a healthy weight. According to research done, it was found that women who ate nuts, at least twice a week had an inconsiderably lower risk of weight gain and obesity over 8 years than those who rarely take nuts.

Improving sexual life

Peanuts increase libido and reverse impotence in men. Peanuts boost the production of hormones. From 2014, experts at the Azienda Ospedaliera Citta Della Salute, a hospital in Turin, have been conducting a study of 100 men which would attempt to prove the theory that consuming as little as seven nuts a day (almonds, walnuts, peanuts, and hazelnuts) could have a significant effect on the quality of sperm.

Peanuts are an invaluable food for people with diabetes or a risk of diabetes. Having a low glycemic index (GI), they do not cause big spikes in blood sugar levels. Peanuts have a glycemic score of 23 which makes them low-GI food.

Peanuts have been found to incorporate the compelling anti-aging molecule resveratrol, similar to the one in phytochemical found in red wine and grapes. Resveratrol can fight the propagation of fat cells and advance the uptake of sugar from the blood.
