Young, happy and recently married, Oscar and Caroline Wanjiru Odhiambo tell FAITH MATHENGE-MURIGU how parental resistance and difference in tribe nearly killed their love.

“It takes the special grace of the Almighty God to get a wife,” says Oscar Omondi Odhiambo, 30. “I studied the women I came across as a young bachelor and found Caroline worthy in character, with the disposition of a wife, irrespective of the fact that she is Kikuyu and I am Luo.
