Man freed on Ksh 20k bail after calling woman 'mchafu wewe'

A man identified as David Onguyi has been freed on a Ksh 20K bail after he was charged over insulting a woman at the Maasai Market on Taifa Road on Sunday.

The man ostensibly told the woman, “Mchafu wewe….hauna suruali na kama uko nayo imetoboka na utafute tissue ujipanguze ukienda kukojoa,” and threatened to beat her up over a disagreement whose cause was not immediately clear.

He got arrested when the lady filed a complaint at the Central Police Station.

He was arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts on today morning and charged with creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace contrary to Section 95 (1)(b) of the Penal Code.
