Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua passed on early Friday morning at a London Hospital where he was undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.
According to his brother, the governor died at 2:15am Friday at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.
Mr Gachagua has been out of the country since late 2016.
