RnB superstar R Kelly will remain in detention until he pays the $100,000 bail as he awaits trial on aggravated sexual abuse.

A Chicago court had set  bail at $1 million, requiring R. Kelly whose real name is Robert Kelly,  to pay 10 percent ( $100,00) as part of the conditions of his release. He was also requested not to contact any of the victims and to relinquish his passport.

Kelly’s lawyer, Steve Greenberg told Fox News that coordinating the payment was not easy.

“He has to rely on others acting on his behalf and it’s just not that easy — because Kelly’s in jail,” said Greenberg to Fox News journalists.

The 52-year-old Grammy Award winner has been in jail since Friday 22, night  when he turned himself in on sex abuse charges against four young women, three of whom were minors.

The allegations dating back as far as 1998 each carry  three to seven years of prison per count.
