Shock and concern after Pastor Ng’ang’a’s disturbing confession surfaces online

Controversial preacher James Ng’ang’a has once again found himself at the center of public outrage after a viral video emerged showing him admitting to taking part in a gang rape involving eight other men.

The undated clip, which appears to have been recorded during a church service, captures Ng’ang’a making the shocking revelation to his congregants, a confession that has sparked nationwide condemnation, especially among women’s rights activists.

Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris was among those calling for immediate action, insisting that the matter should be treated as a criminal case rather than dismissed as a mere sermon.

“We cannot overlook such a grave issue. If that video is genuine, it is not preaching; it is a confession to a crime. Authorities must act,” she stated.

Gender-based violence activist Njeri Migwi also voiced her outrage, urging that Ng’ang’a be held accountable.“This cannot just be brushed off as something from the past. Saying he’s a changed man does not erase the trauma caused. What message are we sending when we excuse such acts?” she wrote.

Many Kenyans online echoed similar sentiments, expressing disbelief that the preacher still commands a loyal following despite his disturbing claims.
“The saddest part is that people will still attend his services and give offerings next Sunday. Religion has become a tool for manipulation,” commented one user.

Ng’ang’a, who has previously admitted to serving jail time for robbery, has long been known for his controversial statements and conduct. However, this latest revelation has drawn unprecedented criticism and renewed calls for justice.
