52 year old actor, Luke Perry, best known for his role in Beverly Hills, 90210 has died.

Perry had been hospitalized in Los Angeles since last Wednesday where he suffered a massive stroke. The star had been shooting scenes for Riverdale series at the Warner Bros film lot. Riverdale executive producers have since stopped production of the series following news of Perry’s death.

According to his publicist, Mr. Robinson, Perry was surrounded by his family including his children, Jack and Sophie; fiancee, Wendy Madison Bauer; and ex-wife, Minnie Sharp, when he died.

“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time, said Robinson.

Perry’s former agent, Chris Nassif expressed his grief and condolences to Perry’s family on their loss.

“Luke will be missed, a friend gone way too soon. It seems like yesterday that I was Luke’s agent negotiating his role on Beverly Hills, 90210. I would like to express my condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time,” said  Nassif.

Cast and crew members of Riverdale also went ahead to respond on social media following the news.

I’m finding it hard to grasp that he will no longer be around to give long hugs and share his wisdom and kindness with all of us.

I’m thinking of his family. His children.

I pray for them to heal and find peace in this devastating loss.
