MC Fullstop’s Son Andy Deh Raises Just KSh 600 in Hospital Bill Appeal Amid Heavy Backlash

Tables have dramatically turned for Andy Deh, the controversial son of veteran entertainer MC Fullstop, after his online appeal for financial assistance was met with a cold shoulder and widespread online backlash.

Andy took to social media to broadcast a live plea, revealing that he had been admitted to the hospital following severe pancreas and small intestine complications. According to Andy, the medical emergency struck after a heavy bout of weekend partying followed by days without proper meals, resulting in fluid buildup that required medical intervention via a pipe inserted into his digestive tract.

Claiming he was detained at the health facility over an unpaid bill amounting to KSh 70,000, Andy turned to the public for help. However, the live stream yielded a dismal response, with sympathisers raising a meagre KSh 600.

Instead of drawing sympathy, Andy’s distress call quickly resurrected public anger tied to his recent controversial remarks. Social media users and online commentators swiftly dismissed his plea, labelling the situation as poetic justice or “karma.”

The public hostility stems from Andy’s recent remarks mocking media personality Natalie Githinji and other women battling endometriosis. During the online tirade, Andy made unsubstantiated and widely condemned claims linking the excruciating reproductive health condition to the use of emergency contraceptive pills (P2) and family planning methods.

His insensitive commentary had already drawn severe nationwide condemnation, echoing a wider wave of friction surrounding the trivialization of chronic illnesses. Prominent figures and activists, such as comedian and activist Eric Omondi, have previously stepped up to fiercely defend women suffering from endometriosis, heavily calling out public figures and their associates who make derogatory remarks regarding the condition for clout.

As Andy remains stuck under the weight of his medical bill with minimal financial rescue from the public, his ordeal serves as a reminder of the internet’s long memory, where past insensitivity can severely stifle public goodwill during times of personal crisis.
