Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has ordered for the closure of bars for two days starting Saturday 24th 5pm to facilitate the national census exercise. He went on to direct the police to implement the directive.

According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, this will be the 8th census exercise to be conducted in the country and it will begin on 24th August to 30th August, and target a population of over 40 million people.
