The Government, via the Ministry of Transport and Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), has now launched a probe into the Silverstone Air services following a series of freak accidents, the latest only hours apart.

A plane belonging to the airline reportedly made an emergency landing at Eldoret International Airport Monday morning, after one of tires came off during take-off.

This came after another accident which involved a plane from Silverstone hitting and damaging another plane at Wilson  Airport on Sunday morning.

17 days ago, yet another of its planes bound for Lamu skidded off the runway and crash-landed, resulting in the injury of a few of the passengers. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported.

The KCAA has now issued a statement, saying that the Air Accident Investigation Department (AAID) of the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development and Public Works has launched a probe to determine the level of compliance with the current civil aviation regulations.
