Meet the Cover Models

Pastor Morris Gacheru, in his early 40s, and his wife, Pauline Gacheru who is in her late 30s are this month’s cover models. The couple work as resident pastors at Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), Parklands, Nairobi. Morris met Pauline in December 1990 at his father’s shop in Eastleigh. He had just graduated from Jamhuri High School and was awaiting his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results while Pauline was still in high school.

A warmhearted friendship was ignited and the two got married in September 1994 albeit protests from Morris’ father who was opposed to the marriage. The couple has three lovely daughters. Pastor Morris and Pauline are charged with the responsibility of premarital counselling for people in their church intending to get married, a role they take seriously.
