Meet the modelling agency that only signs 45 year olds and above

In today’s world we all tend to think the word modelling as an elitist word, more about height, age, or hair color. We seem to be missing the point and losing out on opportunities which may not necessarily lie within the strict confines of beauty. What about those who are ageing gracefully? Do they stand a chance in this vanity filled industry?

Well a Moscow based agency by the name Oldushka saw this need and represents models from age 45 to 85 years.

Oldushka was created by photographer Igor Gavar, with a style of photographing retiree street style on his blog. He’s been putting together a list of unique, older models to use in a variety of fashion campaigns.

“I met some very interesting faces and I wanted to do a separate project with them. A modelling agency became that sort of project,” Gavar told Vogue.

The agency has perfectly created an opportunity for the older generation to try new things in the world of fashion and modelling. Will it have an impact on people? Lets wait and see.
