High-spirited Taru Mwamto got on a horse barely three years ago and fell in love with equestrianism – the sport of horse riding. He has not looked back since that first ride with his cousins. He talks to EDNA GICOVI about his great passion for the sport and his ambition to be a horse riding world champion.

It’s a cloudy Sunday afternoon when I make my way to the Karen Riding School in Nairobi’s Karen area. Mr. Isaac Mwamto picks me from Karen road, which leads to the school, as it is a long walk from the main road where the bus drops me off.
