You can now use MPESA to pay for goods on Aliexpress

Shopping online can seem like a daunting task to some people, especially considering the  limited payment options and security issues that bog online transactions.

Good news for Kenyans is that they can now pay for goods bought on Aliexpress using their MPESA accounts.

However, this feature is only available when using the mobile application and is currently unavailable on the website.

When checking out goods on the app, shoppers are prompted to select payment option after which they choose the MPESA option. They are then asked to enter their local mobile phone number to make the process possible.

Previously, Aliexpress shoppers could only use cards and wire transfer payment options and thus the move to support MPESA is a welcome idea.
