2018 KCPE results set to be announced
The 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results is set to be announced today at Star of the Sea Primary School, Mombasa.
Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed will announce the results at 1 pm.
On Sunday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said that this year’s KCPE was free of cheating and other malpractices.
“There was very little cheating or abuse during this year’s exam and I thank the parents, teachers and candidates. We want to congratulate all those who contributed into making the exams a success,” he said.
All the over one million candidates will join Form One places in 2019 as part of the government’s policy to guarantee a 100 percent transition from primary to secondary schools.
This year’s exams began on October 30 and ended on November 1, 2018. A total of 1,060,703 candidates sat the end of primary school examinations.
