Renowned Kenyan gospel artist Betty Bayo has passed away at Kenyatta National Hospital, reportedly at 1:03 pm on Monday, 10th November, after battling leukemia and suffering from excessive bleeding.

Just yesterday at 8:30 am, Betty shared an uplifting message on her Facebook page: “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.”

Speaking at a press conference, Murang’a Women Representative Betty Maina announced her passing, describing Betty Bayo as a talented and inspirational gospel artist whose music touched countless lives.

Betty Bayo rose to prominence with her hit song “Eleventh Hour”, a track that resonated widely due to its powerful message of hope and divine intervention. The song became an anthem in churches and across gospel platforms, solidifying her place among Kenya’s influential gospel voices.
