It is important for women to know what constitutes a healthy vagina,which normally depends on the woman’s age, among other factors.The vagina generally has an acidic potential for hydrogen(pH),a rich quantity of helpful bacteria which help in fighting off infections.A healthy pH both helps beneficial bacteria to thrive and prevents overgrowth of yeast and pathogenic bacteria.When healthy,your vagina will also secrete small amounts of discharge.

We give you a few superfoods that your vagina needs you to eat to support its health.

Apples

An apple a day will indeed keep the doctor and more so your gynae away.Women who take an apple a day have recorded better sexual health as evidenced in the Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics.Apples contain phytoestrogen phloridzin and antioxidants which help in stimulating your vaginal blood flow.In addition,they promote better sexual function,lubrication and your ability to orgasm.
