Former Youth Fund Chairman Bruce Odhiambo dies at Nairobi Hospital

Former Youth Enterprise Development Fund chairman, Bruce Odhiambo died while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

Mr. Odhiambo had been admitted to the ICU on Saturday where he was being treated after suffering a cardiac arrest and his blood pressure falling to extreme low levels.

Prior to his death, he had traveled to India in October last year to replace his pacemaker (an electrical medical device which regulates and maintains a suitable heart rate) but developed complications shortly after his return.

He was eulogised by many for his contribution in the music industry and philanthropy.

“Very sad about the passing of my friend Bruce Odhiambo. In the last three months, he remained strong even as his sick heart failed him. It was sad to watch him suffer. I will cherish the many moments we spent together. We have lost a good man and one of the most creative minds,” Dr. Alfred Mutua.
