KCPE Results Out
The much awaited 2018 KSCPE results are officially out with two students scoring 453 marks out of 500.
This comes after Education CS, Amina Mohamed officially released the results at the Star of the Sea Primary School in Mombasa.
CS Amina said a total of 1,952,364 candidates sat for the exam this year with the number of boys at 527, 294 while girls at 525,070.
Candidates who scored 400 marks and above were 12,273; those scoring 301 – 400 marks at 228,414. Candidates who scored 201 – 300 marks were 574,927 while 234, 573 candidates managed to score between 101 – 200 marks. Candidates scoring below 100 marks were 2,177.
Girls performed better than boys in English, Kiswahili and Sign language while boys performed better in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Religious Education.
CS Amina added that secondary school placement will commence from next week Monday 26 November.
The 2018 KCPE results can be accessed by visiting the Kenya National Examination Council portal or send the candidate index number to 20076, a service that costs Ksh. 25 per SMS.
