It’s been two years since the first governor of Nyeri County Nderitu Gachagua succumbed to death from pancreas cancer. In a press release published on the Daily Nation, Hon. Nderitu Gachagua has been praised for his tremendous passion for improving lives of people and although he is gone, his compassion for less fortunate in the community will never be forgotten.

The statement reads in part, “In your life time, you worked with the weak to give them strength, the downtrodden to uplift them, the impoverished to work make them flourish and in the same spirit we organize this medical camp the same way you would have done it, to benefit those that may not have the means to access the services.”

According to the press release, the free medical camp will also include treatment of other non-communicable diseases like hypertension, heart diseases, diabetes, eye-checkups and other general ailments.
