It does not matter whether romantic comedies are your cup of tea or not. Plan B is worth checking out. You will absolutely get all the feels with this movie and it will have you smiling or even a little beat teary once you’re done.

The 60 minute movie which was shot in Nairobi, is a typical love story starring Kenyan actresses Sarah Hassan as Lisa Waweru, Kate Kamau Karanja  as Joyce and Nigerian actor Daniel Ettim as Dele.

Deemed as a Valentines day special by its Director Dolapo ‘Lowla Dee’ Adeleke and Producer Sarah Hassan, the movie revolves around Lisa who finds out she is pregnant a month after a drunken one night stand after being dumped by her boyfriend. She then confides in  her friend Joyce who on finding out that Lisa’s one night stand is a rich Nigerian plots for a way to get Dele to pay child support as both are financially struggling.

Despite the initial hostility when Dele refuses responsibility and a few other hurdles along the way, he and Lisa find common ground but not without a plot twist. Kate’s humour as the crafty best friend is also fun to watch.

The movie also showcases Nairobi’s beautiful scenery and indie music scene boosting Kenya’s movie industry a notch higher through a high quality production. It continues to receive rave reviews with many asking for a sequel or a mini-series.

Freebie lovers you can relax. No you do not have to go to the cinemas to watch this awesome movie, it is available for free viewing on Youtube. How is that for a plot this weekend?
