Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdallah are both top media personalities. If the interest in their married lives was not intense enough, then being paired up to read the news together definitely piqued everyone’s interest. How they navigate their married lives, keep private and win together is admiring. Thus we have compiled parenting lessons we can learn from Lulu Hassan and Rashid Abdallah.

Spend as much time as you can with family

While media work can be extremely demanding, these two go out of their way to spend time with their children. Lulu says she is lucky to have been born into a loving and happy family. Thus she tries hard to provide the same for her children.

You do not have to over share on social media

This couple has a tight leash on the bits of their lives that make it to social media. For instance, they only shared photos of their little girl when they felt ready. They do post pictures on their kids on Facebook and Instagram every once in a while,  but that’s as much as you can see.

Parents might be tempted to share every tidbit of their children’s life online but a little goes a long way. Here are 4 reasons why you should not post your child’s photos online.

Planning the family

Lulu Hassan says she has no plans of getting another child. Having a number of children you can cater comfortably cater for not only enables you to provide the best for them, but also sets them up for success in life.

Remember you are a team

Lulu says that apart from being submissive to her husband, she chose to be his friend. Her advice to young couples looking to get married is to know what they want because people are different. They will have to make a lot of compromises. She adds that any misunderstandings between them are solved before they turn in for the night.

Have a reliable support base

Apart from her husband Lulu counts on Kanze Dena, current State House spokesperson as her best friend. The two began chatting on Facebook before meeting in person at her son’s birthday party. They were eventually colleagues reporting side by side before Kanze got another job. The couple maintains a close relationship with their extended family. This helps strengthen familial ties.
