A total of 10, 705 students are expected to benefit from the Wings to Fly Scholarship program by Equity Group Foundation.

The foundation received a total of 114,765 scholarship applications for the program, with 60,880 students applying for the Wings to Fly Program while 53,885 applied for the Elimu Scholarship Program.

Out of applications received, the selection panel selected a total of 10,705 students 1,705 of whom will benefit from Wings to Fly while 9,000 will benefit from the Elimu Scholarship Program.

The  scholarship will cover  the scholars’ expenses which include books, transport costs, pocket money, uniforms and tuition fee for the four-year high school period.

In the four years, beneficiaries will also benefit from mentorship and leadership programs that will help them transform into impactful leaders in society.

The Elimu scholarship beneficiaries

Beneficiaries who perform well after the four years will continue to enjoy the wings to fly funding as they transform into tertiary institutions. This year’s beneficiaries form the 12th class of the Wings to Fly Program.

The scholarship program seeks to support bright but needy students who attain over 350 marks in their Kenya certificate of primary education(KCPE) as they transition into secondary schools.
