Most of us know ginger but do we really know the amazing health benefits it bears? Ginger also known as zingiber officinate is a flowering plant whose root is used as a spice. Apart from its health benefits ginger can be consumed in more than one form. It can be consumed when fresh, dried, powdered and in the form of oil and juice.

The health benefits of ginger include:

Relieves stomach ulcers

According to a research published in Molecular Nutrition and food research journal, ginger when consumed regularly can help improve gut health. This prevents bleeding and acute gastric irritability.

Relieves nausea

In pregnancy ginger aids in alleviating nausea and vomiting . It is also recommended for cancer patients who have gone through chemotherapy.
