BEAUTY FOR ASHES: JACKLINE MWENDE’S REDEMPTION SONG
Remember Jackline Mwende? The woman whose plight shocked the nation after her husband chopped off her hands for allegedly being infertile?
Well, she is back in the limelight but this time for all the right reasons! She is now the proud owner of a house thanks to a German pharmaceutical company. It is also the same company that fitted her with prosthetic limbs.
To top it off, she is the proud owner of a mini mart that has been fully stocked by the same company, with a Ksh. 25,000 monthly stipend to boot.
And just as if to confirm that the heinous act afflicted on her by her husband was unwarranted in all ways possible, Mwende is also…pregnant!
According to Mwende, she has moved on from the incident that made her the face of one of the worst cases of gender-based violence in Kenya.
Mwende says despite having forgiven her husband, he should face the full arm of the law.

Mwende’s husband, Stephen Ngila is currently out on bond is facing attempted murder charges and will be arraigned in court later in February.
