Experts advise us to banish belly fat for fear of heart disease, but studies now show big bottoms are a boon. Scientists at the University of Oxford in UK say that storing fat on your bottom could actually raise levels of good cholesterol (HDL) because the fat stored here ‘mops up’ the inflammatory bad fats that might otherwise circulate around the body. A voluptuous bottom could protect against the hardening of the arteries and reduce your risk of developing diabetes. So, while you worry about belly fat, don’t worry about bottom fat, its not just sexy but healthy too.
