Raise that Libido

According to research, vitamin E helps balance levels of oestrogen. Too much oestrogen can cause premenstrual syndrome (PMS), anxiety, bloating, and mood swings.

Spinach, nuts, avocado, fish and broccoli are good sources.

Fatigue is another libido killer. You can fight it with vitamin B12.

A bowl of fortified bran-rich cereal is the perfect snack to kick you into action as it is loaded with potassium, magnesium and B vitamins, which provide slow release energy, as well as balance your hormones.

Bananas contain a combination of enzymes called bromelain known to boost sex drive.

Not in the mood? Think again!

If you are feeling down and not really in the mood for sex, eat more foods rich in tryptophan, such as turkey, nuts and beans.

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid needed for your body to produce serotonin, the happy hormone. Avoid stimulants such as coffee, alcohol and sugar before you make it to the bedroom.

Go nuts!

Peanuts, walnuts and almonds are a great natural source of L-arginine, an amino acid proven to enhance blood flow to the male and female sexual organs.

What’s more, Brazil nuts may contribute to increased sperm motility.

Brazil nuts and sunflower seeds are packed with selenium, which reduces damage to sperm cells.

Berry Wild!

Most berries are good for the libido. Top on the list are Goji berries.

They help increase levels of the male sex hormone testosterone in the body, which is responsible for sex drives in both men and women.

Testosterone improves blood circulation to the sex organs to promote arousal. Goji berries have also been found to help increase male fertility.

Drink up!

watermelon could help relieve bloating. This juicy fruit consists of 92 percent water.

It is also a great source of potassium and sodium, which help your body rebalance its electrolytes and combat water retention.

Of course, good old water also does the trick.
