From the Pulpit: Are we all about praying without gratitude?

How many times do you remember to thank God once your prayer has been answered? This question came to me last month when the word from most Kenyans was ‘let’s pray for our country’. These same words were spoken to us countless times in the run up to the General Election last year. The various religions then, like now, called for national prayer rallies to invoke God’s mercy upon our country. Last month, tens of worshippers congregated at Uhuru Park for national prayers while the Catholic Church dedicated one Sunday to pray for Kenya. I am not God; but from where I sit, I can tell that these prayers seem to have reached God. And he answered in favour of his children.        Kenya did not burn as many had feared and it has remained calm up to this point when I am writing this.
