The coming of Kambua’s son was unforeseen by most, so when she posted a picture of herself heavy with child, her fanbase and the greater Kenyan audience was thrilled for her. She has since opened up about her struggles when it came to pregnancy. In September, the songstress gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Thereafter, in true Kambua-style (she takes her privacy seriously), she took a break from social media. She only emerged two days ago to announce two things – her birthday and the name of her baby.

She shared the picture of her birthday cake, which read “Happy Birthday Mama Nate” and also referred to herself as Mama Nate in a different post. Nate is short form for Nathaniel, which means gift.

A Mummy. A whole mummy! Ain’t God good? Also, it’s my birthday 🎉 Aaaaalso, I have missed you all. But I took time to be fully present in the season God ushered me into. My current ministry is in changing diapers, warm snuggles, and wet kisses🥰🤱🏾. Ah! This. God. Is. Too. Much. Too much! God of Sarah, Hannah, Rebecca…Kambua. The God who opens wombs and causes the “barren” woman to sing! Covenant keeping God. In Him there are no limitations. I am grateful to know a God who does great things through weak, broken people. My JOY is FULL, and my confidence in His goodness is rock solid. Happy birthday to me💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 . . “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock”- Matt 7:25 . . 📷 @emmanueljambo 💄@naserianne_mua Hair @mbairecathrine

“A Mummy. A whole mummy! Ain’t God good? Also, it’s my birthday 🎉 Aaaaalso, I have missed you all. But I took time to be fully present in the season God ushered me into,” read part of the post.

She has taken to her new mum duties with so a lot of oomph, noting that her days currently revolve around changing diapers and giving hugs.

“My current ministry is in changing diapers, warm snuggles, and wet kisses🥰🤱🏾.”

The elated Kambua has expressed much gratitude after the coming of her son, who she got after seven years in marriage and had to endure some insensitive remarks on social media over her perceived inability to have a child. She gave reference to other women in the Bible who also had to wait for the coming of their children.

“Ah! This. God. Is. Too. Much. Too much! God of Sarah, Hannah, Rebecca…Kambua. The God who opens wombs and causes the “barren” woman to sing! Covenant keeping God. In Him there are no limitations.

Happy birthday to me💃🏾💃🏾,” she concluded.
