Kenya's rugby star Tony Onyango collapses and dies

Kenya’s rugby maven Tony Onyango is dead.

According to reports, the Shujaa player collapsed and died at his Ngong house on Tuesday night. He had reportedly been to a training session earlier.

“It is with seismic disturbance that we announce the sudden demise of our KCB Rugby player Tony Onyango Opondo. This happened at his home in Ngong on the 3rd of March 2020. We will update on further details. We ask for your prayers during this trying time” read a Twitter post on Shujaa Pride.

Onyango was the captain Impala Saracens, Strathmore University, Homeboyz Rugby. He played for KCB at the time of his death.
