Lulu Hassan low-key announces birth of daughter

So, in case you’ve been wondering, word on the street is Citizen TV Swahili News Anchor Lulu Hassan and her co-host and husband, Rashid Abdalla have welcomed their daughter.

And all this would’ve gone unnoticed if some hawk-eyed social media gurus had not followed a post on thespian Ian Mbugua’s Instagram page.

Ian had posted a photo of his granddaughter hugging Mombasa based actor Dan Sonko’s son with the hashtag MariniKids when Lulu casually commented on the post.

Lulu and Rashid’s daughter is now 11 days old as the post shared on September 7, 2018, credited her tender age at the time as eight days, meaning she was born just before the month began.

Both Dan’s son and Ian’s granddaughter are brand ambassadors for natural hair products company Marini Naturals.

In the comments section, Lulu jokes that she had wanted Dan’s son for her daughter even as Dan commented that he and Ian Mbugua should have a word regarding his son and Ian’s granddaughter.

Despite Lulu snitching on herself, she and Rashid have not shared any pictures of their newborn on social media retaining her seemingly silent resolve to keep her pregnancy journey and birth out of the public eye.
