Renowned comedian David Oyando, popularly known as Mulamwah and his girlfriend Caroline Muthoni, alias Carol Sonnie are the newest parents on the block after they welcomed a baby girl on Sunday morning.

An excited Mulamwah took to his Instagram page to break the news of his daughter’s birth while appreciating his girlfriend Sonnie for having given him a gift.

In the post, Mulamwah revealed that he was present during the delivery joining a growing list of Kenyan male celebrities that have not shied from the labour room.

The comedian revealed that they had named the baby Keilah Oyando and tagged an Instagram account by the same name, suggesting that the couple had already set an account on the platform for their newborn daughter.

“I earn through social media and so I don’t mind creating a platform for her as early as this.” Mulamwah said speaking to Word Is.

The new dad further revealed that his daughter is already an ambassador for a clothes company who will dress her for the next seventeen years.

Local celebrities, including activist Boniface Mwangi and Azziad, left congratulatory messages on his post to celebrate the couple as they embark on their new role as parents.

The couple had previously lost a child when Sonnie suffered a miscarriage in 2020. Speaking on the miscarriage, Mulamwah acknowledged that it was not easy dealing with the loss and that their daughter was not a replacement. He further expressed his commitment to be the best father he can be to his daughter.
