This festive period has been ushered in by torrential rains. As such, it is necessary to figure out a balance on how to dress throughout the day. Wearing raincoats throughout the day is a tad boring, but we have to look as outfits in which we will not freeze but at the same time look stylish. Here are some multi-functional alternatives to wear during this rainy, cold season.

Wool Coats

Wool coats are very versatile items of clothing. They can be easily dressed up or down. One however has to ensure they choose the right fabric. Although they are easy to pair, if you get the fabric wrong, they lose their multi-functional ability.

If you choose heavy fabric, opt for minimal layers and do it if the weather is cold from morning to evening.

It is however recommended to opt for breathable fabrics. Due to progressive apparel technology, there are also windproof and waterproof wool coats. They have an extremely light micro-molecular micro-porous membrane. Opt for this when the weather is wet but not too chilly.

Flight Jackets

Flight jackets, also known as bomber jackets, are very casual in nature. They are thus perfect for a laid back day or a night out. They add an edgy finishing touch to an outfit. However they should be considered when the weather isn’t too harsh.

Although there are flight jackets that are heavily padded and are quite warm, they are not warm enough for really chilly weather.  Therefore opt for a flight jacket if the weather starts out cold but gets warmer in the day.

Puffer Jackets

Puffer jackets have to be one of the most dependable clothing items at such a time. These jackets are heavy-duty and down-right insulating. It also helps that pop culture has made them look cool. If caught in the rain, these are perfect. When stepping out in the cold, it also provides an edge to an outfit if that’s what you are going for.
