NTSA summons Tahmeed Coach officials over safety complaints
Tahmeed Coach officials will today face The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) over the company’s safety record.
This is after the authority received a myriad of complaints and reports of reckless driving and near fatal crashes from the public. The NTSA has asked the public to report reckless driving to the police or NTSA.
“We urge members of the public to report motorists endangering the lives of passengers or other road users to the nearest Police station or NTSA offices,” said NTSA Director General George Njao.
Last week NTSA suspended the licence of Modern Coast bus, following an accident that claimed the lives of seven and injured 62 others. This was just one among the many accidents buses in this company has been involved in.
The move to summon Tahmeed Coach officials is meant to hopefully avert a looming disaster.
