Adelle Onyango, Anita Nderu on BBC's 100 Most Influential list

BBC has released its annual 100 most influential and inspirational women list and three Kenyans have made the cut.  They are,

Adelle Onyango

Adelle, 28, is a presenter on KISS 100’s breakfast show. She is also an actress and social media influencer seeking to empower young women through mentorship and apprenticeship.

2. Anita Nderu

Anita,27,  is a TV presenter and a news anchor at Capital FM. She is passionate about mentoring the youth.

3. Naomi Mwaura

Naomi, 31, is the founder, Flone Initiative and Communications a non-profit organisation that facilitates a programme in social change, sexual and reproductive health rights and gender equality. She also helped champion the anti-harassment protest #MyDressMyChoice.

The 100 women challenge

The 100 women challenge is a call to highlight issues affecting women around the world and how to tackle them. Nominees this year will be looking at four issues: the glass ceiling, female illiteracy, street harassment and sexism in sport.

Other women on the list include Liberian President Elle Johnson Sirleaf, Chile President Michelle Bachlet and Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage.
