Beauty YouTuber Joanna Kinuthia to launch makeup line

Makeup artist and beauty YouTuber, Joanna Kinuthia announced the launch of her upcoming make up line on Friday morning.

Dubbed ‘Joanna K cosmetics’, the makeup line is set to launch online on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Live on  Saturday 1st December 2018.

The 24-year-old took to her YouTube channel to share the news with her fans and other netizens. Her followers had been waiting with bated breath for the announcement since she alluded to ‘something big’ in one of her previous videos.

“I didn’t think that this is something that would happen this soon.It was more of a 10-year plan. It is so surreal to just get to this point because at the beginning of this year things were not going as planned. I felt that I had made the wrong choice by quitting my job to be a full-time YouTuber. Mark your calendars because it will be a celebration of this milestone- the opening of Joanna K Cosmetics ,” shared the visibly excited vlogger.

Chasing her dreams

“I am terrified but excited and grateful to God, my family, friends and everyone who has been on this journey with me. This line is all about doing it; being scared but doing it nonetheless so that I can inspire people to go out and chase their dreams. Instead of just saying it, I want to show you that I’m also doing it with actions,” she shared.

The cosmetics line, she says, will be a representation of her love for make up.

An emotional Joanna struggled to keep the tears at bay as she broke the news and thanked her fans for their support, “I want us to learn and grow together. I also want to share this new chapter of my life with you and I hope that you will come along the journey with me.”

Joanna joins the ranks of other Kenyan entrepreneurs with makeup lines such as Nelly Tuikong of Pauline Cosmetics and Suzie Wokabi, the Founder of SuzieBeauty.
