Family Slapped With Ksh 850,000 Bill After One Night Stay In The Hospital

The body of Matilda Anyango is being detained at MP Shah Hospital pending the huge bill

Matilda Anyango, a tailor, was rushed to MP Shah hospital on April 11th after she was stabbed in a robbery attempt.

The robber was attempting to rob her of her mobile phone and handbag.

Sadly, despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

However, what has left the family even more shocked is the bill, which stands at Kshs 850,000 and growing.

The huge cost has left many taken a back after the dilema was shared on social media with many asking MP Shah to justify the costs.

Mp Shah hospital has released a statement saying most of the cost was taken up by surgeon’s fee(Kshs, 300,00), life-support machine, drugs (Kshs157, 285) and bed charges (Kshs. 42, 600) among others.

The hospital has detained Matilda’s body with the bill accruing at Ks. 2000 per day, pending the bill clearance.
