Government extends KCPE, KCSE registration deadline by two weeks
The government on Monday extended the deadline for the registration of 2021 Kenya certificate of primary education(KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) to 14th August 2021. In a press statement, Education Cabinet Secretary professor George Magoha said the move was called for by the heads of schools through the Kenya National Examination Council(KNEC).
Magoha said the extension will give an opportunity to schools to register all candidates in a bid to ensure that no child is left behind.

“Any candidate who fails to register for the 2021 examination to be sat in March 2022 will only be allowed to sit the examination in December 2022, late registration shall not be allowed,” the CS said.
The registration deadline will be followed by a verification of candidates’ registration details as captured in the 2021 KCPE and KCSE nominal rolls from August 16th to 27th, 2021.
Magoha also informed headteachers and principals to submit the duly signed nominal rolls and medical reports for candidates with special needs to Sub County Directors of Education together with the other registration documents.
The Sub County Directors of Education are to submit the records and documents of schools to KNEC by September 10, 2021.
