KWS Warns Public Against Fake Recruitment Link Circulating Online
  • PublishedJanuary 15, 2026

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has issued a public warning over a fake recruitment link circulating online and on social media platforms, cautioning Kenyans against falling victim to fraudsters posing as the agency.

In a statement shared on its official X account on Wednesday, January 15 2026,  KWS said the link falsely claims to advertise recruitment opportunities within the Service, clarifying that it is fraudulent and not linked to KWS in any way.

The agency strongly advised members of the public not to click on the link, share personal information, or make any payments in response to such messages, noting that doing so could expose them to financial loss or identity theft.

KWS further emphasised that all its official recruitment exercises are communicated strictly through its recognised channels. These include the official KWS website, verified social media platforms, and announcements carried by mainstream media houses.

The Service urged the public to rely only on these official sources for accurate and credible information regarding recruitment and other opportunities. It also encouraged Kenyans to report any suspicious recruitment-related links or messages to the relevant authorities to help curb online fraud.
