Dr. Catherine Nyongesa boasts as the first Female Radiation Oncologist in the country. Narrating how she battled stereotypes of girl education which by then was termed as a loss ; saying she would end up married at the end. These sentiments only encouraged Dr Catherine to rise to academic prowess as she qualified for a medicine course at the prestigious University of Nairobi. Recalling how she got to the city with cornrows and being a ”kienyeji” or rather a village girl, Dr Catherine tells of how she escalated her style from what she described as being ”naive” then. Now she runs The Texas Cancer Centre as well as being its founder.

Dr Catherine is a woman with many hats. She juggles being an oncologist, CEO, a mother and a wife. She is married to Dr.Samson Watta, who together run the Texas Cancer Centre. The couple who are working together understand the difference between work and love. The Watta’s have given a deaf ear to the external noises on the cons of working as a couple as they successfully run the  cancer centre.

”The Hospital is a dream come true” -Dr Catherine Nyogesa.

The Watta’s are a radiology package of romance cum workmates with their stethoscopic lasered romance.
