Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has launched an incubation program aimed at training businesses list with the securities market.

The program dubbed Ibuka was launched earlier Monday morning to tap into the growing business potential in the country as well as help companies achieve an investor ready status by allowing access to both local and international capital.

NSE CEO, Geoffrey Odundo said the program was beneficial as it will enhance structured corporate finance transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and strategic investments after listing.

“This will enable companies unlock their growth potential through a well- structured incubation program that places special focus on enhancing the select companies’ business structure, visibility and ability to attract investment among local and international investors,” said Mr. Odundo

Other benefits of the program include enhanced brand recognition, increased business opportunities, and improved corporatization
