YOU WILL BE A KEY SUSPECT OF CHEATING

When women say men are dogs, know you are included. When they say men cannot be trusted, you are in there too. Maybe because of the hustle women go through while growing up or having to deal with numerous men – married and single – who want to prey on them, they have all concluded that a faithful man is a dead man.

If you are caught pants down, then you prove her right. And if you are never caught, and she keeps hearing about other men who have been busted, and she keeps meeting other married men who want to sleep with her; and she keeps hearing other women’s sob stories to Maina Kageni on Classic FM, she concludes that you are just good at covering your tracks but no different from other men.

Sometimes she will even tell you in the face that she knows men are all the same, and so advise you not to let her know of your philandering. Do not fret these things. Just do your best to be faithful to your wife and as advised, don’t give her a reason to say ‘I knew you are like other men’ – whether you are like them or not. Moral lesson: Building trust is a long-term project. You should confront these issues and even let her know that men too have fears about their wives. After all you know and she knows of women who cheat on their husbands. I have four more things nobody talks about before marriage and I will ask the indulgence of my editor to allow me continue in the next issue. Meanwhile, contemplate on these points and plan ahead to grab your copy of the magazine next month
